PROJECT: COCKATOO ISLAND

Cockatoo island gave us an opportunity to design and develop a unique popup restaurant for the Sydney Biennale 2019. Here, from nothing other than a concrete slab, we created raised gardens for screening with lush lawns. We built a bush tucker garden and had around 50 different edible plants for the on site kitchen to use. Synthetic lawn was used in high use areas, to give a soft area for children to play on, plus real lawn raised planters to lie down on and watch the stars. Hanging plants featured in the outdoor covered food hall. All areas were irrigated and minimum maintenance was required by our regular service team.
